Ability to play as Anti-pirate ship

Hello, as I was playing I seen many anti-pirate ships protecting those lovely stations. Sometimes I play as Long Range Fighter and I try to hunt for pirates but they somehow hide...

So I got this idea, what if you were able to play as "Company Anti-Pirate ship"

You would get missions to protect merchant convoys from SS 1 to SS 2
(possible spoiler?)
You would get mission/contracts for escorting scouts on dangerous planets.
You would get big reward for discovering pirate base (Maybe you already get reward for that? idk)
ETC.

You would get nice rewards and alot of money, but constant risk of death.. ( heh nothing new)

What do you think about this ?

Anyway: I don't think it would be a good idea to add a seperate "Start as corporate security" option to the starting menu. Could corp-sec offer more jobs? Absolutely! Patrols that need to be done in a certain amount of time perhaps. Escorting important merchant convoys (Already in the game, just not as an official corp-quest)

I am quite confused about your answer, maybe its my bad english.

Does that mean you partialy do not agree with my idea?

I agree that the player should be able to play a bigger role in corporate security (As in anti pirate patrolling)
I don't think it should work by adding another option to the starting menu "Start as patrol captain"
It should be by more offers by the corps to do security related jobs for them.

Ah yeah I didn't realize you were saying to start out as an anti=pirate patrol
if that's the case no, that would be too limited but I do agree with more options in the way of hunting and fighting pirates
