The "wondrous" lava bug

Postby Spacehamster » Thu 31. Oct 2013, 13:58

Tried once again repeat a "unhealable paramedics" bug and found that (Lava is !!!fun!!!) - lava can kill dead persons (Zombies? Vampires? Daaaamn why i hired undead?!!) in awayteam (That even reflects in end statistic - like 28 casualties among the crew when you had only 10 for all time).

===add===
Ahh also they stays at team as permanent dead crewmembers (or my captain just insane - loves to chit-chat with ashes of his crew). Easy repeatable.

If need i can send summaries, savegame (new team near at lava planet) and screenshots but as i said - Easy repeatable

Used Prospector Nosound vR176
===add===
The crewmen who dies by other type of deadly things - removes normally - zombies still at team. Remembered also about undead treeman in old version (~2.3) but i'm sure what he died not from lava. But i remembers it pretty blurry.
Sry for my engrish - i'm just a hamster :)

Zombie bug struck once again - now (unlucky gunner) converted to undead state by volcanic... steam.

Also, my captains insane by default - even when they don't have hallucinations , they can still hear how their (un)dead crew (gunner in my case) speak gibberish trash. :D (Yup, i knew what that because they just don't removes properly).

Magellan, do i need send to you a save with properly-not-removed dead crewmen? (It easy repeatable anyway.)

My main problem here is that I have no Idea what you are trying to say!
Any damage to the awayteam get's handled by the same routine. There is no difference between a hit by a monster and any tile effect. I just waded through lava until everybody was dead. Everybody died exactly once. And the number in the deadredshirt count on the summary scsreen was correct too.

Can we try this in 3 steps?
a) Describe what you are doing/trying to do. Try to be precise
b) Describe what you expect the output to look like.
c) Describe the actual output you are seeing and why you think it's wrong.

Well (Huh - only happens when ye have a redshirts in awayteam... so need to start with troop transport). Some screenshots:
Awaycrew = 5 + 5 r-shirts (Common starting grunts.).
1. Pilot killed twice. And r-shirts too. By lava.

2. Summary killed 13 of 10.
-
3. By acid.

4. Summary killed 15 of 10. By acid.

+ save (at system with lava planet with 10 crewman).

Never mind now I've seen it. Will look into it.

I am also not certain what the last screenshot is supposed to show. that It's 6/1 instead of 1/6? It shows max/current. One can propably argue that which way would around would be better. Though it's not exactly a bug.

Nope i had only starting crew:
CPGSD + 5 r-shirts totally = 10.

P.S. About last screenshot - my mistake, i forget about "max/current" thing.
