After all, one of the reasons Duke Nukem Forever took so long is because its creator kept starting over with new engines.

since this topic is compiling on win32: Any volunteers for providing a precompiled version for linux?
For some wierd reason I seem to be unable to get freebasic run on ubuntu. (Haven't put much effort into it yet either, but still)

I don't have much time these days, but I do have a Xubuntu box so maybe I'll try to give it a shot. Looks like FreeBASIC has an arcane install procedure on Linux because they haven't figured out the Debian packaging thing.

I still need to see if I can get win32 to build first, though, now that you've released a new SVN build.
