Source Code for R210?

Postby Mx_Turner » Sun 28. Jun 2020, 21:00

Does anyone know where I might find the source for R210?
I'm a experienced QA/Developer and I am intrigued by the game.

I mention this because it appears that there has been no active development for years, I can't find a github, the google code page seems to be out of date, and I'd hate to see a good game like this just fade away due to lack of source code.

This is the only pure turn-based space roguelike I can find. If a few of the bugs got squashed and some of the processes were optimized this could go from a good old game to a good modern game.

People like me cruise github looking for exactly this sort of project to put hundreds of hours into. I can even work on something like this at work, this would qualify as 20% time.

I want to see a game like this grow and I'd hate to have to reinvent the wheel.

Consider asking Magellan (dev) about source code via email. He rarely appears here lately and I pretty sure he also turned off PM notifications.

I'm usually (and only) contacted Magellan via (matthias.mennel@gmail.com). Don't know other ones, sorry.

If you don't get a response in three-four days... well... maybe mod XXXAlphamaleXXX (michaelcjohnson1993@gmail.com) knows working one.

I would definitely be excited for continued development of this game in any form

update to this... going on 3 years, no updates, no github to see commits.

This game was rated best in class despite this.

Without an update it wont make it on to next quarters list.....

Github, Google code, heck sourceforge even. Thats acceptable. As it is now i'm left de-compiling the app...and I dont feel right doing that & releasing files ......from something "shady" like that.

I just want to make a tile/sound pack lol
