Erm. No.
A new comp happened between the last release and the current one, so I had to reinstall everything, and realized that I hadn't quite finished on the Linux side (A handfull of libs still missing)
But yes: that was what we wanted to do, as soon as time permits, build a barebone fbsound.
Anyway: This weekend I added an index for items and portals by coordinates. For quite a few purposes thats pretty useful, since you don't have to go through each and every item to find out if it is at (x,y). The result is something that pretty much kills the much complained about lag!
I am going to do a bit more bughunting and release it tomorrow. Can't deprive our poor users of this. (I spent 5 minutes hitting left-right arrows on a map with 255 items and 255 monsters, watching it zap back and forth and going "wow")
