R183 Post-Mayday Edition

Announcing the latest release

R183 Post-Mayday Edition

Postby magellan » Fri 2. May 2014, 18:36

Heya all!
Another minor (or not so minor, since it fixes 2 crashes) update.

R183
+ Balancing: Lower grade Armor has more oxygen
+ new command: optimize (e)quipment allows you to decide if you want autoequip to go for max oxygen or max armor.
+ Mapsize, number of wormholes and starsystems now can be changed in config.txt
+ Custom hull shop works now
+ Fixed 2 bugs that could cause a crash

By now I guess most people know where the download button is, and it case you don't it's here:
dm_eds/dmedsdl.php

Enjoy!

Magellan,

Is there something I can do to help get the Linux fbsound version back on track?

@ Magellan: Looooooks good!

@ HunterZ: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1bOiHb ... FZb0k/edit has my sound fix and the last 50 commits i made, on top of 183. please try it! use the debug version / see batch file - to see what i was working on last. and if you crash it, send me the error-log from savegames/ please. thanks!

@SoPissd: 50 commits?! Does that mean you're making gameplay changes in addition to the sound fix?

Edit: It's too bad that Google Code doesn't make it as easy to fork as Github does, or else I'd be tempted to fork it for the purposes of keeping the Linux versions working.

more like a hundred, but i rewrite the history a lot to tell a better story. its now down to 45.. maybe 38 individual 'changesets'.

no gameplay changes whatsoever. nothing drastic either. i'm just making the app work as an app that i can work with. run a diff. actually, run " $ sed -i 's/rlprint/dprint/g' src/*.bas " .. then run a diff and you'll get the feel for what i'm doing.

lets give magellan a little more time. took about 20 mins to rebase, so its not a huge deal right now. if he gets up a repo, as i'm sure he will, i'd like to pr him my stuff thinking that he'll take it all cause its all stuff he just never got around to doing.

I think that's as close as we'll ever get, and he at least updates it with each binary release.
