So here is R184.

+ Probes fixed
+ Rovers fixed (again)
+ Error handling by sopissd
+ polish: Item stats (Needs more work, but the infrastructure is there now)
+ polish: no more +0 or +-5 when showing skillrolls

Also to answer HunterZs question what he can do to get linux sound back on track: Nothing, thanks, i got this. As evidence I present Linux sound version

so head to that download button up there and have fun!

Doesn't build for me:
items.bas(4198) error 3: Expected End-of-Line, found ',' in 'v=item(a).v3*0,9*item(a).v1^2*2+item(a).v1/2'

The problem is the "0,9" part. Not sure what it was supposed to be.

Also, how specifically are you solving the dprint conflict in the fbsound version?
types.bas(2158) error 1: Argument count mismatch, expanding: DPRINT in 'Declare Function dprint(text As String, col As Short=11) As Short'
types.bas(2158) error 3: Expected End-of-Line, found 'As' in 'Declare Function dprint(text As String, col As Short=11) As Short'
types.bas(2697) error 41: Variable not declared, dprint in 'if _debug>0 then dprint last(oc.x,oc.y) &":"&last(nc.x,nc.y)'
types.bas(2700) error 10: Expected '=', found 'last' in 'if _debug>0 then dprint last(oc.x,oc.y) &":"&last(nc.x,nc.y)'
retirement.bas(40) error 4: Duplicated definition, dprint in 'dprint "You already have a better title."'
retirement.bas(106) error 4: Duplicated definition, dprint in 'dprint "You buy "&add_a_or_an(asset(b),0) &"."'
retirement.bas(111) error 4: Duplicated definition, dprint in 'dprint "You already have that"'
math.bas(24) error 4: Duplicated definition, dprint in 'dprint i &":"&int(distance(c,p(i)))'
math.bas(872) error 4: Duplicated definition, dprint in 'if debug=1 and _debug=1 then dprint "Looking for tile "&t'
math.bas(882) error 4: Duplicated definition, dprint in 'if a=0 and debug=1 and _debug=1 then dprint "No tiles found"'
math.bas(882) error 125: Too many errors, exiting

Possible easy fix for fbsound dprint conflict is to move the #include "fbsound.bi" stuff to come after #Include Once "types.bas" stuff in main.bas:

Code: Select all
#Include Once "types.bas"

#IfDef _FBSOUND
#Include "fbsound.bi"
#EndIf

This builds without errors because the fbsound code leaves dprint alone if it's already defined.

I can't seem to open the .zip file for the Windows sound version in 7zip.

The Linux .zip file opens fine.

Anyone else having this problem?

I just tried the new Windows sound version from a couple of different locations and can't get it to run either. It says the ZIP file is invalid whenever I try to open it. The no sound version seems to work fine.

Sorry, It's been a pretty busy week, and I hadn't noticed this so far. It works now. I'll go away and be ashamed now.

Works like a charm! Thanks for all your hard work on the game Magellan, I'm glad to see there's still work being done on it. It's one of the few games I keep coming back to these days.
